Fouad Mimi

Fouad Mimi obtained an advanced Fine Art degree in 1980 from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, London. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Jordan and abroad. His artwork forms part of the collection of the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, as well as private collections in France, Italy, the u.k., the u.s.a. and Canada. In addition to being widely recognized as one of the most established artists in Jordan, Fouad Mimi is an award-winning television producer and director. His training includes extensive courses in television production and direction at the bbc in London, as well as in Europe and the u.s.a.. Since the beginning of this century he has directed television documentaries promoting tourism and social development in Jordan. He was awarded the First Golden Crown Prize for Film and Television at the Casablanca Festival, Morocco, for his documentary Arabic Calligraphy. Fouad Mimi lives and works in Amman
