Ghassan GHAYEB

Ghassan Ghayeb obtained a diploma from the Fine Arts Institute in Baghdad in 1986 and graduated from the Baghdad Academy of Fine Arts in 1997. Ghayeb has held several solo exhibitions and participated in over twenty-five group exhibitions in various cities in the Arab world, as well as in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Bangladesh. Ghayeb has been awarded the Sixth al-Wasiti Award (Baghdad, 1987); Third Award at the Contemporary Iraqi Art Festival (1996); and the Creativity Award (Baghdad, 2000). His artworks have been acquired by the Arts Center in Baghdad; the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, Amman; the Arab Museum of Modern Art, Qatar; and the British Museum, London. Ghayeb currently lives and works in Los Angeles U.S.A.
