Artist

Al-Ameri holds a B.A. in Physical Education. Since 1983, he has held over thirteen solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous international group exhibitions and biennials, including the Sharjah Biennial, the International Cairo Graphic Biennial and Triennial, as well as the Alexandria Graphic Biennial. Al-Ameri held the post of Director of the Jordanian Plastic Arts Association between 2000 and 2002. He is a member of the Jordanian Critics' Association and the Arab Writers' Union. He is also the Head of the Theatre and Arts Directorate at the Ministry of Culture. Al-Ameri was awarded First Prize at the Tehran Biennial (2006). He lives and works in Amman.
